The End of an Empire

Our Constitutional Republic died a peaceful death on November 6, 2012. Having reached the point of no return in a comatose state after years of progressive and illegal immigration assaults, the fabric of conservative society is now completely unraveled and Uncle Sam’s America is no more.

The United States of America is now relegated to the dust bin of history as a “has been” empire. The Shining City on the Hill, the hope of so many millions since July 4, 1776, no longer exists. What rises from the ashes is a country that few of us will recognize, like, or learn to accept submissively.

After 236 years of existence, a new country emerges today, run by secular progressives who rejected our Constitution, what we stand for, and who we are as a nation. The Supreme Court will be forever altered after its last conservative members will be replaced by the liberal academics who call themselves “progressives.” The rule of law will be implemented by Executive Orders, making Congress irrelevant.

The communist motto “Forward” that resonated with so many ignorant Americans will plunge us into many years of darkness from which we will never be able to recover. We have proven our Founding Fathers right, they did give us a Constitutional Republic and we were unable to maintain it.

The forces of the failed communist fundamental transformation that were driven underground in many places around the world, resurfaced with a vengeance in the United States and have now taken over.

How long we will still have freedom of speech, movement, assembly, and control of our private property remains to be seen. Faith and churches will be driven underground, allowing secularism to prosper and take deep roots among the progressives whose God is Mother Earth.

The welfare dependent Americans, unions, and illegal aliens have chosen for the rest of us the dark path of serfdom to big government and to socialist utopia.

Who would have guessed that the very people who were complaining that the government is not extricating them from disaster or giving them the help they needed in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, would vote for the very politicians who turned their backs on needy Americans after the lights went dark when the political photo opportunities ended?

Who would have guessed that Americans were as ignorant and irresponsible as to choose fiscal destruction over fiscal sanity for their children and grandchildren, secularism and communism over faith, dependence over personal responsibility and self-reliance?

Americans have been protesting for the last four years the dismal state of the economy and the direction of our country, the corruption of our politicians, and the loss of personal and economic freedom.

Rallies in support of conservatism overwhelmed venues for Mitt Romney while rallies for our bumbling President became scarcer and scarcer. Yet, miraculously, at the ballot box, our President won all over the country.

We lost seats in the Senate. Americans chose liars and cheats to be their Senators and Representatives, rejecting those who protected the Constitution. The candidate from Massachusetts who claimed direct American Indian lineage to Pocahontas is now a Senator, having defeated Scott Brown. Representative Allen West lost his seat by a narrow margin but the infamous Wasserman Schultz from Florida kept hers.

Americans chose high unemployment, reduction of our military, communist indoctrination of their children, and loss of personal freedoms unlike we have never seen before in this country.

I am saddened by the loss of millions and millions of American soldiers who have died to preserve freedom yet we lost it on November 6, 2012. Those buried in cemeteries around the world and at Arlington must be rolling in their graves today. We shamelessly allowed their sacrifice of blood and treasure to go in vain. We have no honor because we let down all the soldiers who fought in recent times and returned home limbless with lives shattered from physical and mental wounds of war.

I mourn today the loss of my adopted country. I have fought hard over the last four years to prevent its overt and accelerated destruction but the darker forces stronger than many of us have overcome concerted efforts by millions of Americans to maintain the Republic. Mediocrity, sloth, godlessness, dependence, cowardice, using the law selectively or ignoring it, and hopeless corruption will define the new country. Only God can save us now with his mercy and grace.

  1. This is not a surprise.

If man was ungrateful with the savior God, Jesus Christ, would they be grateful with the savior men, as the Founding Fathers, for example?

The fact is, all of us, the whole world will pay the price. Beginning with Israel…

  2. You said it all. My heart is broken today, and I am grieving the loss of America as I have known it. I am grieving, weeping, and mourning this loss.

Your blog post was sent to me by a friend, and I found it very moving. I would ask your permission to post your words on my blog, as you have communicated clearly and eloquently what I feel. I will, of course acknowledge your authorship and link back to your blog.

My prayer is that we can rebuild. I encourage you (and myself) not to lose hope. We are voices crying in the wilderness, but some have eyes to see and ears to hear, so continue to lift your voice.

  5. Thank you (sadly) for your words of wisdom. Clear and concise and to the point. Hopefully America will wake up before it’s too late. I fear you are correct though, and it may already be too late. Forge ahead the best we can…

  6. I was amazed at how much Romney had lost by but it has justified the feeling I’ve always had of being surrounded by the “takers” here in Massachusetts, the people who game the system, believe they’re entitled and think it’s funny. (Obama supporters and parrots of idiot actors)

  7. “Only God can save us now with his mercy and grace.” – Dr. Ileana Johnson,

Please don’t bring God into this. If he had anything to do with the US (and the world) he’d have done something a long time ago about how the US and its citizens are spending more than 50% of the US Budget on war and the implements of war around the world.
God prefers the US would take better care of the sick (health), our children (educaton), the poor, and our infrastructure. If God cared enough to send his Son (Jesus) back to the world again he’d be again turning over a lot of tables of the money changers, taking care of the sick and poor again, and chastising his modern disciples and leaders of so-called modern religion for not following his teachings.
And just imagine how much good we could do with that >50% of the US budget around the world for peaceful purposes. And if only we could send the wasted food and other goods that the US throws away each day around the world – there would be a lot less hunger, less disease and less poor.
    Peace to all,
    frank carbone jr.

    • You are right, Frank, color of skin has no bearing on anything, it is liberals who accuse the rest of the world of being racists just because our views don’t agree with yours.
Should I go to work and toil for the rest of the world? Have you given away your entire yearly paycheck to the rest of the world?
I do not like wars either, wasted lives and fortunes.

  8. Surely as God has been removed from schools, courtrooms, our pledge and many other places of public assemblage undertaken by the ACLU; who succeeded in representing the minority as the silent majority allowed such a damned abomination, how could one begin to think God is not in this?

As war returns a sense of patriotism, is our current godlessnes not in need of a rebirth?

  9. I’d like to know where all the countries, who we’ve helped over the years, are now when we, ourselves, need help following Hurricane Sandy which destroyed parts of NY, the Jersey shore and Staten Island (also part of NY)? I don’t see any of them coming forward to assist us with money or good to help these poor people. I don’t mind helping people but when we need it wouldn’t it be nice if they helped us once in a while?

  10. I agree with your whole piece, but not with surprise you met that news with. What’s wrong with just another empire dyeing? It’s historically normal and it happen always after empire’s populace degradation. Actually it’s a direct result of populace degradation – nothing else can kill an empire. When I voted few days ago just looking at voters it was clear that it’s over …

    • Right on my friend. Let us hear from the lady who thinks that America has died after 236 years. May be she can move back to her Old country since Dead USA is of no use to her.

  11. I would suggest that you go read your American History around the 1933 time and you will see that the decline and fall materialized then. The current administration is not doing anything new that has not already been done.

  12. God’s not to blame for this. America has systematically and slowly extricated Him from every facet of society. We, the citizens of America, are to blame for where we are. We sat by silently while, piece by piece, our freedoms were eroded. We said nothing because we couldn’t imagine that anything like this would happen. We sit collectively with our hands out to the government because ‘bling’ is more important than the God given gift of freedom. Our children are self centered progressives. Young adults are self absorbed. And the “love-in” generation is running our government – and running it into the ground. The pilot of this “plane” has just pointed the nose of the plane toward the ground and ‘we the (complacent) people wait in silence for the refreshment cart to come around. It makes me sick and it makes me sad.

  13. Some details on your comments are needed to support your arguments.
In our federal republic, how was the constitution rejected and in what way did anyone choose Communism?
How is “forward” a communist motto any more than Mitt Romney saying “keep America America” is similar to what the KKK has used as a slogan.
Where has speech, movement and assembly been limited? At least any more than what the Patriot act limited and was passed under the previous administration.
The men and women who were elected are people of Faith and is an insult to their beliefs to say anything else.
Far more people voted for the President (62 million) than there are union members (16.1 million) and welfare recipients (4.9 million). Also, 4 of the top 10 states with the highest level of welfare recipients (Texas, Tennessee, Indiana and Georgia) went for Romney.
Let’s have a real discussion about policies and points of view instead of inflammatory language unsupported by any facts. I respect you have differences with people who voted in a different way than you – but let’s talk about that instead of these vague accusations.

    • The real discussion should have taken place BEFORE the election. Unfortunately, the Democrat steam-rolling machine of manipulated factoids, lies, statistical manipulations, voter misinformation, Hispandering on Univision, advertising in Mexico how to get food stamps in the U.S., and campaign false advertising, coupled with 24/7 liberal media machine bashing anybody who disagreed with their talking points and those of the administration, made it IMPOSSIBLE to have a factual debate, and that included the four official debates.

  14. We know the blind will not see anything truthful until they open their closed eyes. They will not hear anything truthful till they open their closed ears. We have to be Salty, Bright beyond Daylight, Loud, and Irritating, in order to get through to their very thick skulls. No, it is not God’s fault we are where we are now. And no, if MMR had won, we would not all of a sudden be rosy and fair again. It will take many years to undo the damage that has been in the works since Woodrow Wilson turned this country towards progressivism.
It will take many decades to work through the debts they have bestowed upon us. It will take many generations to make up for those who were aborted. – No, they can never be made up for. For every one of them was a unique life to be cherished and loved – if not by their own parents, they could have been loved by adopters. They could have flourished. They could have cured cancer, or poverty, or starvation, or global warming. But no, these generations of selfish idiots think only of themselves and what a bother it would be to have taken care of someone else, when they needed to be free of responsibilities. These generations of moochers who could not keep their sexuality in check thought it was a great idea to live off of everyone else and just have as many kids as they could so they can get as much welfare and food stamps as they can. I have worked more than 40 years, and I have nothing left to show for it. I had a good job, till 2010, I even had Health insurance, but now my 401k is gone – used up on medical expenses that insurance was not enough to cover. All of our savings are gone. Used up on trying to keep a house out of foreclosure when tenants lost their jobs and could not pay rent either. I could just curl up and die, but I will Live to be an irritant to every idiotic progressive socialist democrat. And by golly my dear USA if you do not turn around and go the other way, you know what, I just might as well go get me some food stamps too!!!!!! How do you like them apples.!!!!! Just imagine not just 47 million moochers, Imagine 94 million moochers!!!!!!!!!!! IMAGINE 235 Million Moochers!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Ileana, It saddens me to read your posts. Recently I was forwarded your article titled “The End of an Empire”. After reading the article I was intrigued. But not because I thought it was a quality read but due to the ignorance that runs rampant in the article. Curiosity caused me to further visit your website and read your latest post titled “My Trip to Obama-Mart”.
A quote from “The end of an Empire” Reads “Americans chose high unemployment, reduction of our military, communist indoctrination of their children, and loss of personal freedoms unlike we have never seen before in this country.” If i’m not mistaken the high unemployment rate is not solely a cause of the current presidency. I think we must look further back than the past four years to question high unemployment rates. You also state that Americans choose a reduction in military, is it possible that many Americans feared that in increase in the military budget may cause an increase in the ever increasing national debt. Also, in the third presidential debate Mr Romney stated that he is going to increase the military budget and increase the physical presence of our military in the middle east. I’m sure i’m not alone when I say more of a physical presence in the middle east may cause more of a physical presence in America with frustrated and irritated citizens of those countries. You may refer to them as “terrorists”.
Your article titled “My trip to Obama-Mart” is as equally frustrating. I agree a trip to Walmart is an unpleasant venture. Fortunately I rarely shop at Walmart due to its business model. This type of business model is usually masterminded by very wealthy conservative business men. Their model that reflects low wages and no benefits for their employees and driving the prices down through slave labor and overseas manufacturing to increase company profits is what is forcing liberal politicians to think in a socialistic manner. The select few of you including Mr. Romney who think middle class is people making $200k or more need to take a look at the real middle class. I think that the stat is about 4% of americans fit into Mr. Romney’s “Middle Class”. Fortunately it was the real middle class who helped carry the swing states to re-elect the President. And in regards to your statement that “Nobody wants to work $12 an hour jobs so they hire foreigners who do not speak English.” I’m pretty sure that if you took a survey of the very unemployed americans that you feel are sucking the system dry you may find many of them who would gladly go back to work for $12 an hr.
At last as I end my rant I must ask how a former immigrant to this nation has formed such closed conservative views about her “Adopted Nation”

    • Jackson,
It seems to me that you are in dire need of a lesson in Economics 101 and a few months stay in the communist paradise of your choice. The liberal talking points are getting old – they clearly show the ignorance of the electorate.

  16. I taught High School Government (12th grade) for almost 30 years, specifically the founding documents. These included The Declaration of Independance, Constitution, The Federalist Papers, George Washington’s Farewell Address, Lincoln’s Getteysburg Address and the Emancipation Proclamation. It grieves me that there are so many uneducated ad uninformed Americans today. Interviews on the street revealed the real depth of the uninformed. Unfortunately these people vote and breed. Until this country returns to its founding principles we ARE doomed. This country put forth a form of government that required an educated and informed electorate until we have this again, if we ever do, there will be no opportunity to repair the damage done by the Progressive Marxists.

I was always taught to provide for myself, and having been born very poor, it has not always been easy but I’ll be darned if I will become a slug and sit around on my hands or with my hand out to take from those who are willing to be self sufficient. My dad had a 5th grade education and my mom a 9th; they had 9 children and worked to support us. We were taught that education was the way out of poverty so we paid our own way through college. I do not regret it all, it helped to build character.

I hope I live to see a president I can respect because he/she respects our founding documents and the blood and treasure it cost to secure this “Nation under God.” Yes God had a lot to do with it; this fledgeling country in 1776 was going up against the world power of that day, and should have lost the war. Only by the intervention of God was this country established at all. At this point it will take his intervention to reestablish what we have lost.

    • Diane,
I understand your journey of hardship and your pride in self-reliance. I grew up poor and under communist oppression. I chose freedom and opportunity in America. Sadly, Americans now seem eager to adopt communism.

  17. I’m typing this three years after the Romanian lady made claims about the U.S. allegedly heading towards communism. In retrospect, she overreacted.
